This project is a LEED Silver certified residential addition. The existing portion of the home was converted into an artist studio above and garage below and the freestanding addition becomes the new main residence. A bridge connects the old and the new. An angle of six degrees was an inspiration for this modern residence and was carried throughout. Work was completed while associated with Williams Design Group....

This project is a clean, modern master bedroom suite addition to the existing home. A flat roof was created around the perimeter to accommodate existing windows at the rear of the home. The center was raised up as a clerestory with a vaulted ceiling to bring more light and space into the rooms of the new master suite. The clients wanted their open screen porch converted into an enclosed sunroom. The existing floor and roof were reused but new exterior walls and stone foundation were built to create an appropriate new scale and add a heavier feel to the lower level. Beautiful new wood paneling was also added to the inside of the sunroom to enhance the character of that space as well. Work was completed while associated with Williams Design Group....

This client wanted to remove the existing home on their beautiful Clifton property and replace it with a much more spacious 2 story home with basement. There are high 10' ceilings at all levels along with a grand entry with a spiral stair. The large size of the home along with the steeply sloping site posed created a challenge in how to break the facade up into an appropriate scale. This all needed to be worked around the existing infinity...

This ambitious modern addition is a collaboration with the clients who both happen to be architects as well. This addition will triple the size of their home and create a new spacious kitchen, dining room and 2 story master suite along with adding a built in 3rd floor pool. Work was completed while associated with Williams Design Group and Devmar Architects.....

This client wanted a canopy built over their existing deck for shade. The problem was how to achieve this without eliminating all of the light into the kitchen and dining room. The angle and size of the new deck roof along with the open "trellis" portion between this roof and the existing home provide the necessary shade while still allowing ample natural sun into the home. Work was completed while associated with Williams Design Group....

This client wished to add a first floor sunroom and additional bedroom in the basement level. The desire to save and protect the dogwood tree created a unique walkway that connects to the existing deck. Work was completed while associated with Williams Design Group....
